The Ultimate Bungy - at the Last Resort





It has to be said . . . . . Kiwi David Allardice has done it again. Following the unrivalled success of Ultimate Descents International, David's latest project is a resort - the Last Resort as you travel up the beautiful Bhote kosi valley towards the Tibetan border.

I was lucky enough to get a visit to this amazing place during my most recent stay in Nepal. For those of you who have been trekking, rafting or kayaking, or those who simply want a break from the madness of Kathmandu before you leave Nepal - this is the place for you.

If whatever you've been doing hasn't quite got the adrenaline levels up - the Last Resort can remedy that as well. Home to Nepal's only Bungy Jump, at 500ft (160m) this is also the second highest jump in the world. With a picturesque setting high in the Bhote kosi valley, this place is a great location for adventure and relaxation alike.

Ultimate adventure comes in the form of Bungy, Canyoning, Rock climbing. Rafting trips on the nearby Bhote Kosi river and local trekking are also arranged.

Ultimate Canyoning

Canyoning trips run out of the last resort daily and the prices are shown below. Canyoning involves exploration of narrow, steep gorges by abseiling in and then combining swimming, jumping, and sliding down the walls and water courses to explore them further. The Last resort currently run two tours and continue to be at the forefront of pioneering new trips.



The activities are run by professional international staff and guides; Being only three hours from Kathmandu it's possible to bus out, jump and return on the same day. I would stress that option should be avoided unless you are short of time - the fact is you'll get to this place and want to stay for ages - I did.
