There cannot be many places in the world that have Nepal's diversity of scenery and terrain.
For starters no other country has the highest, and several of the other highest mountains of
the world. Located just north of the tropic of cancer the climate in the lower areas is sub -
tropical with temperatures rarely rising above freezing in the high mountains.
This climate further adds to the scenery ranging from tropical thick jungles at one extreme
to picturesque snow covered peaks and glaciers at the other.
Deep river gorges, one being the deepest gorge in the world, flat plains, high mountains and lush
green valleys - where in the world would you find a finer backdrop to kayaking and rafting
some of the most amazing river journeys in the world?
